Using knives skillfully is essential for home cooks, yet many individuals have never mastered proper techniques, which is important for safety. Because knives form the foundation of a well equipped kitchen, selection, care and sharpening are as important as learning to use them properly.
In this session, you will learn how to slice, dice and chop fruit, vegetables and herbs safely and efficiently. As you practice your cutting skills, (repetition is key to improving them over time) the chef will prepare a dish or two from the cut up items for you to enjoy. Please bring your own knife to the class.
