Description
In this 8 week course students will build a cricket table, a small, three-legged, round table also known as a drinking table or tavern table. Using a minimal tool list, students will learn how to build a staked-style cricket table using techniques that will serve as a foundation for building high quality furniture that will last generations.
Students will learn how to:

Set and use a hand plane

Create a spring joint

Layout and cut half-lap joints

Layout and drill compound angles

Make tapered mortise and tenon joints

Octagonalize and taper legs
-
Level legs to the floor
Most tools will be available for students to use. A tool list will be sent out before the start of class if you would like to bring your own.
This class is appropriate for all levels of woodworking skills.
